Brow Lamination: Everything You Need to Know

Brow lamination has become one of the most requested services at Full Circle Beauty — and for good reason. If you've ever wished your brows were fuller, more defined, or just stayed in place without any product, brow lamination delivers exactly that. Here's a complete breakdown of what it is, what to expect, and how to take care of your brows afterward.

What Is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is a semi-permanent brow treatment that restructures the brow hairs, allowing them to be set in a new, uniform direction. The result is a fluffy, brushed-up look with incredible definition — fuller-looking brows that stay perfectly in place all day without gel or pomade.

Think of it as a perm for your eyebrows, but instead of curling the hair, we're straightening and lifting it upward. The treatment works with your natural brow hairs — so the more brow hair you have, the more dramatic the result.

The Brow Lamination Process at Full Circle Beauty

Your brow lamination appointment at our Point Loma studio takes about 50 minutes. Here's what happens:

  • Step 1 — Consultation: We'll discuss your desired brow shape and whether you want a dramatic fluffy look or something more natural and defined.
  • Step 2 — Lift solution: A softening solution is applied to the brow hairs, breaking down the bond structure so the hairs become pliable and can be moved.
  • Step 3 — Setting: Brows are brushed into the desired direction and a setting solution is applied to lock them in place.
  • Step 4 — Nourishing treatment: A conditioning serum is applied to restore moisture and protect the hairs after the chemical treatment.
  • Step 5 — Shaping: We clean up the brow shape with waxing or threading as needed.

How Long Does Brow Lamination Last?

Results typically last 6–8 weeks. The longevity depends on your hair type, how oily your skin is, and how you care for your brows after the treatment. Fine or sparse hair may not hold as long as thicker brow hair.

Brow Lamination Aftercare

The first 24–48 hours after your treatment are critical. During this window:

  • Do not get your brows wet — no washing your face directly over the brows, no steam, no sweating
  • Avoid touching or rubbing your brows
  • Do not apply makeup directly on the brow area
  • Sleep on your back if possible to avoid flattening the hairs

After 48 hours, you can resume normal activities. We recommend brushing your brows upward daily with a spoolie and applying a nourishing brow oil to keep the hairs healthy between treatments.

Is Brow Lamination Right for You?

Brow lamination works best for clients who have enough natural brow hair to work with. If you have very sparse or thin brows, we may recommend brow tinting or a combination treatment to maximize results. Brow lamination is not recommended if you have very sensitive skin, eczema, or psoriasis around the brow area, or if you're pregnant.
